Viggo picked up the Icon Award at last night's Empire Movie Awards (my invite as his guest obviously got lost in the post).
Judging by the pics, he seems to be morphing into Bjorn Borg. Which is never a bad thing in my books. The same can't be said for Sean Bean, however, who was just looking grubby *shudders*.
A friend of mine and her hubby are over from India for a few days, so we met up yesterday (along with another friend from Bristol) and headed off to Portobello Market. I'd not been for years (and the only time I'd been before was on a Saturday). Sunday was much quieter, but the fantastic weather brought the crowds out.
Along the way we ended up at the Hummingbird Bakery, linked to the Magnolia Bakery in NYC (regularly featured in Sex and the City, by all accounts). I tried to resist at first, but the temptation was far too much - I was good and only bought two cupcakes: Red Velvet and White Chocolate & Raspberry - but managed to not eat them until I was back hope (with a cup of tea). They were so worth the wait. I've never had such scrummy cupcakes - they're even better than mine! I bet their brownies aren't, though :)
It's St. Patrick's Day, so you know what that means... Show us something green.

In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, series writer Gareth Roberts has confirmed that the second Doctor Who "special" will be broadcast at Christmas.
So we get the Easter one, then nothing until Christmas. So much for the 4 specials in 2009. Bastards 
On the train to work yesterday morning I started reading a biography of Agatha Christie by Laura Thompson, which turned out to be one of the worst written books I've ever come across. I made it to page 14. I should have guessed what it would be like as one of the reviews on the back was by Kate Mosse who wrote the awfulness that is Labryinth (I really cannot begin to describe how bad that book is. Suffice to say it's the only book I've ever bought that has ended up in the recycling box).
Rather than lugging Agatha home to languish on my bookcase, I decided to leave it on the train, with one of my Moo cards to see what happens. I just hope the person who finds it (hello, if you ever read this) makes it further than I did.
For some bizarre reason, Benefit have stopped producing their Non-Fiction foundation. I discovered it last August as I
wanted a change from MAC’s Studio Fix. Don’t get me wrong, I heart MAC, but sometimes find their foundation a bit too heavy and cakey and it does occasionally bring me out in spots. Non-Fiction, on the other hand, is wonderfully light, but has excellent coverage.
I’m running out of my first bottle, so popped into their Covent Garden store last week, only to be told that it wasn’t being produced anymore and that they had run out of the shade I use *shock*. Their new foundation won’t be in liquid form and will be heavier than Non-Fiction. Heavier? wtf is that all about? Everyone I’ve spoken to use Benefit because it’s so light on the skin.
I managed to get a supply from Benefit’s online shop, so should be okay for the next year or so, but still…..
